What is the hp rating difference between the regular race comp and the drag comps by egde and is the drag comp the same as the hot comp?Would this benefit me with my set up or not? How much is it to upgrade I think I saw people send to edge for around $150 does this sound right?Would it cause any drivability issues over the regular comp?
 
I believe that they also add about 600 rpm before it begins to defuel. the drag comp made a big difference in a friends 01 weekend puller :cool:

The drag comp is the same as a regular comp on ALL levels other than 5x5. On 5x5 the drag comp keeps adding fuel to compensate for the ECM defueling past 2700 rpm's. It makes a big difference in HP/TQ and EGT. Lets just say that 5x5 is hot in more ways than one, I saw 1500 on the pyro with DD3's.

This is where I am confused. I have had both a comp box and a drag comp and here is what I see is the difference.



My drag will fuel to 3200 rpm on all stages. I know I have heard it is just stage 5 but mine will do it on all.



When I talked to the Edge techs they told my over and over its no more HP then a regular comp. It does feel like there is more hp or torque.

I have seen ads where a drag is 120 hp and I have seen ads where its 145 hp.



Edge's site says 120 so I don't know where people get 140ish? Maybe they have proven it on a dyno?



It is worth the money in my eyes, it does fuel harder down low ves. the reg. comp and I would bet it adds at LEAST adds 50 lbs of torque over the reg. comp.
 
They ( drag)get the higher hp numbers do to the higher rpm's over stock there is 150 more hp at 3200 rpm, where the regular box is 120 hp at 2700 rpm.
