Thanks, TDR Staff

just saying Audios

Extreme Trucks and Banks

I have a 2004 dodge pickup with the 5. 9 HO Cummins turbo diesel what is it difference between mine and the 5. 9L I-6 24-Valve Cummins Turbo Diesel ?

It has an automatic transmission 4 speed automatic , 48RE in it.

I have another question about these chips that you can put in to increase horse power and miliage did any body ever hear of a 2004. 5 Dodge Cummins 600 Power Edge EZ Performance Module EZD 1000. D.

Any advise I could get would be appreciated with the cost of fuel today it is getting expensive to drive this truck and I still owe on it.

Thanks,

Like Ken said, there's no difference.

There are three ways to change the power of your truck (which has the High Pressure Common Rail fuel system. We call it HPCR)

1) Injection timing

2) Injection duration

3) Injection pressure

Those are listed in order of preference to me. I don't like the power adders that increase rail pressure because it causes MUCH faster injector wear-- they can be shot in as little as 50K with the pressure cranked up.

Far better, imo, to stick with #1 and #2-- timing and duration.

Therefore, the power module you should be looking at is from TST.

'03 and up are ISB-E (24 valve Cummins model designation) the '98. 5 -'02 trucks are also 24 valve but their designation is ISB. There are very few parts that are shared between the two. I wasn't sure which 24 valve you are referring to.

As to the box question, the TST is very high Hp and VERY aggressive but it is only timing and duration as said above.
