The Prodigy has an accelerometer in it I believe and that is totally different than a pendulum type.

Perhaps in mechanics, but not in concept. Both are inertial controllers in that the amount of trailer braking they apply is a function of the deceleration rate they sense - they just use different deceleration rate sensors (i. e. , a pendulum versus a solid-state accelerometer. )

It's the only one that works correctly with an E-brake. If you use an e-brake with any of the inertia/pendulam types, the controller will "feel" the braking from the E-brake and apply trailer brakes, defeating half the reason for having the e-brake. I want my e-brake to carry most of the braking load and then the service brakes to come on when I tell them too, and not before.

Good point, never thought about it, thanks for bring it up. Glad I got the Jordan because I just installed an E-brake. Jordan is definitely an awesome controller and their service is superb. Where else can you call the manufacturer of a product and speak to the owner himself? Jordan will listen to you and goes out of his way to help his customers. I'm very happy with mine:)

Hey John, The MONSTER 5th Wheel is a little sick right now!!! I have a crack in the fiberglass and they are having trouble finding the source of the problem ( 4 times back). It is back at Automate now and I am waiting to get it back. I hope they find the problem this time and if not we will really have a problem. One thing I will say they don't blink an eye, when they say 5 year warrantee they don't argue they just fix it (if they can).

Rusty you could be right I will see how it works in the real world if I ever get my trailer back. If it does not work as advertised I will not be afraid to buy another one (Jordan). It sure did work well on my buddies truck the other night but he does not have an e brake so good point.

Bad news Guys the Prodigy does not work with electrolic disc brakes. I will call Jordan tomorrow and see if there's does.
