O. K. here we go again.

I know the pressure lock is causing my accelerator to pulsate. I can dissconect it and it will stop, but the truck seems to stay in 1st gear too long.

I talked to the transmission guy at the dealer and told him how I was getting this shudder, slip, tug at the seat of my pants feeling while towing with the BD plug in power hooked up while in OD.

Take the box off an the transmission or whatever it may be stops the shudder, slip, tug at the seat of my pants feeling.

For example I hauled proboly 12,000lbs of equipment to Hebbronville Tuesday without the box at 70mph and the shudder, slip, tug at the seat of my pants feeling was not there.

The transmission guy said if the clutches in the transmission were going bad I should of had that shudder, slip, tug at the seat of my pants feeling even without the box hauling this much weight.

Any ideas?

If this modified Dodge keeps acting up I might have to buy me another PSD. (But never a bowtie)

I would start asking questions with the vendor you got all of this stuff from as they will have the most experience with it, and might have seen this before. Most people on this forum think very highly of their vendor ( whom ever that might be) and have reported excellent customer service.

sounds to me like the torque convertor , what fluid in your trans ? does your tach bounce at all ? does it only do it at a certian RPM / speed ?

I know guys modify their trucks all the time but I have to ask the question. Why would you go Ford because a modified truck you have isn't acting correctly? These things are highly technological now days and the slightest mistake with electronics will make it run like crap. If anything, blame the vendor of the mods you have. I'm not trying to be a jerk but I can't help but be a bit frustrated at you blaming the truck but not the mods.

Hot Shot

I see you are from Texas, i know that is a pretty big state however, i am going to be in Dallas on Feb. 17 doing a seminar. I wouldn't mind road testing your truck and give you a hand if you need one. I hate to see someone give up on their Dodge, i know you have been at it for a while and it can be frustrating.

Since you first brought this subject up a few months back i have been getting quite a few guys asking about tc shudder. There doesnt seem to be a pattern on brand, whether it be stock or aftermarket it seems to cross all brand lines. Everyones situation should be handled as an indiviual issue,as each performs differently based on their mods. tire size, gear ratio etc.

While i dont endorse any particular oil,i do
know that 70% of the guys emailing me were running Dexron, none of the guys that were running Amsoil SEEM to complain about the shudder.

I am not saying that is the cause of your shudder, but if you need a hand checking it out i'll be in the area.

PS< you transmission guy is correct in his statement it is not your clutches, it would do it with or without the box if your clutches were toast.
