What is this Engine Component?

I was looking under the hood and just behind the DRIVERS side battery is a black box with five ( What looks like small oil lines) Screwing into it. One of them had a tiny bit of oil weeping out that I cleaned off but I just wondered what it was. The part does have a bar code label and I think I read ECU?? THanks!! Oo.

It could be for the anti lock brakes. You should be able to follow the lines and see if they go to the master cylinder.

ABS unit. It's for the brakes and shouldn't be leaking.

Thanks guys. Would anyone suggest a slight snugging down of the screw going into the unit?? Would you be able to unscrew it and put some thread sealer on it possibly? Not sure if this is a high pressure line or not. WOuld hate to take it all the way to the dealer for such a little thing. thanks!!

If you unscrew it you will introduce air into the system, I would take it to the dealer before messing with that.
