What Is This Harness For

Ever since I have owned my truck there has been a wire cut off a harness from the battery. The wire that is cut is a pink wire and runs down to a fairly good size connector. The other wire runs down the postive battery cable towards the starter and I think it's brown. I looked at my firends truck today and his pink wire is made into the original cable connector on the battery. I have never noticed anything that does not work, what might this wire be for. Someone has cut it off and I don't want to hook it back up until I am sure where it goes and what it does. I am sure it was cut off for a reason. It looks to be about a 8-10 ga wire.

Pink Wire

If it is pink with a black stripe, then it's for the power windows and AC. This circuit goes from the battery through a fuse link and the ignition switch and then to fuses 11 and 12.

Went out and took a look at mine earlier today. The pink wire appears to be the feed for the starter relay. I unplugged it and the starter would not work. Perhaps it was fried some time ago and re-wired to get power from some other wire.
