what is up tonite

What the you know what is wrong tonite. It ain't taking posts with images, tried for 15 minutes, then images server is down, then change to me hosting images, and it still won't take... .



Can't take this slow site anymore tonite.

as in the first post, The image server (TDR) was down, or so the tdr site said. As a result, i guess, the post i was working on would not update, it kept timing out. Other posts were fine, and so was the main forums.



I ended up hosting my own images.

When you are getting the message that the image server is down that is someone elses server - there is no "TDR image server". It means someone has linked to a picture on someone elses server and the TDR server can't get to it for whatever reason. There is a 5 second timeout for each picture on an offsite server if they aren't available so if a thread has a bunch of pictures linked to that same server it could add up to a significant amount of time.

the image server down that appeared in my thread was while the pics were on the readers rides. (they still are, but i am linking to my server now) I used the forum codes as per the tdr (copy/paste into the thread). I uploaded the 4 pics sucessfully into readers rides. They did appear there ok. Something was screwy with the TDRs' stuff.
