I searched the forums for stock wheel width and did not see it in any of the posts. i have the chrome clad and would like to see if the Michelin M/S in 235/80 will fit. They are supposed to fit up to a 7. 5" wheel, but I got a feeling the wheel is 8".

I love the Ricksons and get tons of compliments, but did not get the advertised mileage from the tires. I think I may just sell the wheels with worn out tires and go back to stock wheels.

Thanks Hokey.

The Michelin site recommends 6. 00 to 7. 5. I found a stamp in the steel spare that said 7. 5". What would be the down side to running an 8" wheel. Are any of you dually guys running an 8" wheel?

Might be harder to seat the bead... it might wear the tire wierd since it is on a wider rim (outside faster than center)...

The steel rims are 7. 5 and would be perfect for the 235... I think my aluminum wheels were measured at almost 9" wide by the tire place... they fit 315s nicely...

A good friend of mine has been running 235/80's for a couple of years now on 8 inch rims, wear has not been a problem

Ever seen the steel wheels on an st model? It has a 245/70-17 on it with 7. 5" width. slt and larm got the 265/70-17 on 8". This is for srw trucks.

Right you are Vaughn. The chrome clad are 8". I believe the power wagon wheel might be wider but don't quote me on that.
