What is wrong with these people?

First, I've read or heard of at least 4 children being left incars in the middle of the summer. All 4 of these children have died due to thier mothers stupidity. The woman in Texas just forgot her child was in the car with her. A child isn't a bag of groceries or a handbag. How could you possibly forget your child in the car. I have a small dog that like to ride in the truck. When I have ot leave here in the truck, I leave the truck running with the A/C on. Not once have I forgotten that she is in the truck.



Now I'm reading about babies being left in trash cans in LA. 3 in the past month. The saddest part of the story is that CA has a law that allows the mother to leave the baby in the care of a hospital with 72 hours of the baby's birth without facing procecution.



Why does it seem like the life of a child isn't as important as it used to be?

Atleast if a woman leaves her UNWANTED baby at a hospital, It will be cared for and not left to chance of dying from exposure.

somethings like that have happened up here too. . a few weeks ago some woman went into a hair salon or something and her 2 young ones died from the heat. and just a few days ago, some guy with 2 kids went "shopping" he left the kids in the car with all the windows up and went into the adult book/toy/movie store on markham road [west side] just north of finch in scarborough. some people at the sports bar just down the strip plaza from it called the cops when he did not come back in 15-20 min. cops came and smashed in a window. . they say that the temp was nearing 40°C [104°f for you down there] in the car when they came to pull the kids out... that guy is such a f'n knob

I think the point is obvious. Although, we are all guilty of selfishness to some extent. 'Cept for maybe Ma Theresa.

Many people with kids think of them as more of a hassle than anything, and it's just too much trouble to take them out of a boiling hot car. Whatever

Those babies mamas need to be left to roast... in a car or somewhere else, if you get my drift.

You know when I was stationed in the Omaha area, one of the local hospitals used have a program where if you saw a child in a car without a childseat, you noted the (Nebraska) license plate on the car and sent it in, the sheriff paid them a visit (with a childseat and a stern warning). I think a similar program should be instituted nationwide, bring the publics awareness up, get us all to notice a car sitting not running (A/C on) with children in it. The perpetrator gets hung, the informant gets a reward.



It's crying shame, there are folks out there who go through many hoops to have children, while these bozo's are killing their own.
