Had 15/16 before the comp and exhaust. Been on two weeks now (Comp) and I've seen 16/17 last 2 fill up's and I've been rompin' on it pretty good, can't wait to see when I calm down a little, like that's gonna happen:rolleyes: :D

Had a guy at work that drives a v10 crewcab Ford tell me yesterday that all us guys that drive Cummins powered Dodges need to learn how to add. :( He said there was now way that any of us can get the mileage that we claim. :( He said every guy he talks to with a Cummins is so full of I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER because no one can get 19 to 20mpg out of that pile of I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER diesel. I told him just cause he only got 8mpg that not all trucks drank fuel like his. :) I even showed this guy my fuel log and he still doesn't believe me.

Now the guy wont talk to me because he says I'm just another dumb Cummins owner. (Life IS GOOD):D

Why do some people have to be such Jack A$$es

Phord guys

He's just mad and probably jealous. I was talking to a guy at the pumps a while back. He asked what kind of mileage I got. I told him 18-20 on the highway. I asked him what he got. He just frowned and said "13 or 14 was it" :( . Oh yea ,he had a newer S. D. with a p. s. d. Doug

To be more accurate, this poll should include 12v vs 24v, 3. 54 vs 4. 10, etc. There are obciously many factors that affect milage: towing, city vs highway driving, vehicle mods, etc. With enough participation, these variances should wash out, and the results of your poll should tell us something. Thnanks for posting it; we haven't had one for awhile.

I havent filled up at a pump in a few years, but I have a real good idea of how many gallons it's taking.

I put down 19-20, but I'm certain it's 20 or better.

5 speed, 3. 54's. I love it!!

Eric

With my Mods and fuel additive, I have seen an increse of 1. 5 MPG over stock after breakin.

18 MPG @ 75 MPH, Empty.

During the winter months this drops to 16 MPG :(

Hey Darrell,

Don't tell that buddy of yours that I can get 28mpg out of my wife's 12 valve 2wd pile of I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER Cummins. :D I even have the CFN fuel log for proof.

Fuel millage

I have kept a log book from day one recording every drop of fuel and every maintainance item.

I let my buddy talk me into only useing the Staynadyne every other tank instead of every tank. Bad idea. My milage and performance is definatly better with the stanadyne.

Running empty: 18 - 20 mpg depending on roads and the weight of my right foot.

Running with my 4000 lb Lance camper on board: 13 - 15, same variables. Without the stanadyne subtract 1 mpg at least. :p With the 95 chevy 350 v-8 I used to run I never saw better than 12 empty and 10 loaded.

Records to back it up

I have had my truck nearly 2 years and I have kept records of every fill up. Running empty back and forth to work, I get 21-23 mpg, and pulling the trailer its between 14-15. 5. .

2wd. . 5 speed. . 3. 54

Elevation!

I only get 15-16 in the 99 empty and loaded about 13, but I also live and drive around at an elevation over 7000 feet in cold weather. my 97 12v empty gets about 18 and loaded about 10:mad:

mileage

Before mods I could get 19 empty, after I have gotten 22. 6 best running at 70mph. I expect to do better if I could just drive normally, but I am addicted to the new found power. The best towing my 29ft trailer was 15. 7. Two wheel drive and autos do get fairly good milage.

My mileage sucks! No better way to put it. Right now I'm getting 11. 5 mpg babying the thing, empty. Doing the same driveing my '97 V-10 got over 13mpg and had more power. Loaded I still get 11. 5mpg, with the same load the V-10 got 8~9 mpg.

Yes, that is still on #2 diesel.

MPG's

I get about 16. 5 to 17 to work and back, thats a little of HWY and Stop light to stop light type. But I have got as much as 21 mpg Hwy only. I'm at 4k+ Elev. I get a little less in winter months.

MPG's

I average right around 20 all the time. My best was 22. 6 all highway at 62mph. Been using Lucas conditioner and that seems to help the winter mileage stay the same as summer.

The 14 - 15 I'm getting with the present fuel conditioning they do around here in the winter is still better than the 12 - 13 I'd be getting with my old 88 toyota 4-runner (auto V-6 245 X 15 tires 145k sold to neighbor the day I brought the truck home) and that's stop & go for both vehicles. On the highway this summer vacation doing 75 - 90 mph I got about 18 round trip. Best ever was 21. 5 mpg when following my wife home after we first picked up the truck this summer, 60 - 65 mph. From Yorktown Heights, NY (purchased it) to Levittown, PA (home) 125 miles, it cost me $7. 40 to top off the tank and $9. 20 in tolls:D

I'm sure the 5 & 6 spds do better though.

I. m closer to 20 than 19, one month ago I installed my feuling box, have put over 3000 miles on it highway and back roads. I am hard on the throttle, and try and race anything I can. Still 20 MPH. :D :D :D
