What kind and how much limited slip additive?

I have a 3500 Dana 80 full floater with the LSD. What kind and how much limited slip additive needs to be added when you change the fluid?

Also what type and weight fluid would you use for the refill. Mine is just a daily driver and I live in Missouri - 90 degrees summer and down to 0 some times in the winter.

Use the Mopar LSD additive. Only use as much as you need to avoid chatter. I start with about a half bottle, then do a bunch of figure eights to distribute it and add more until the rear end isn't chattering when doing the figure 8's. If you use more than you need your LSD won't work as good. As far as what oil to run that's a sticky subject around here . Myself I'm running LE straight 90w, I have many friends that are running Amsoil 75W90 or 75W140 (the 140 if they tow a lot) and they like that as well. If you use the Amsoil 75W90 Series 2000 I don't believe you need the additive at all (correct me if I'm wrong guys).

I have a Dana 80, live in MO and use Amsoil 75-90 2000 seris without additional additive. The amount (if any) of additive depends on the brand of oil and setup of each individual limited slip. Most of the folks complaining about the LS performance have too much additive. Read the specs and recommendation on whatever lube you are going to use. If it requires the additive use only the Mopar stuff and add it 2 ounces at a time if you want a tight LS. If I did a lot of very heavy towing (hot shotting) I would use a 75-140 lube. I'm using Red Line 75W-140 synthetic... no friction modifier needed. Very happy with the product.
