He just asked me and i didnt really know what to tell him. He doesnt really want this to open up a major can of worms as far as mods goes. I think he might be receptive to the idea of an exhaust because it is a california emissions vehicle. Any recomendations?
I wouldnt put anything on it. There has been enough problems with the 6. 0's according to the Diesel stop website. Heck a guy on there just got his warranty voided because of a chip.
not to concerned about the warrenty, the thing already has 20K on it and its not even a year old, it will most likely be gone before any problems arise. we had the injectors replaced as insurance already.
If it is an '04, I wouldn't worry as much about engine problems, they are getting better. The majority of the common problems have been associated with '03 motors.
Anyway, I say get the edge. I know a couple of pleased customers already.
check out the new quad 160 its adjustable like the EDGE (no gauges though) speed delimiter, and its supposed to have the best shifting manners for the torqueshift, do some research on the diffrent chips and shifting. Its the hotest chip out I think and your dad can grow on it if he wants later. check out thedieselstop.com lots of info on all the chips for the 6. 0
