Does anyone know what kind of "glue" or adhesive the factory used to tack the sound deadener to the firewall (behind the dash)? Not sure if all years had it but my '92 does/did and I would like to glue it to the firewall on my '85 Crew Cab (doing the Cummins conversion).

Its kind of a greenish looking glue. I tried "Shoe Goo" and 3M Super Adhesive 76 and neither one of them would grab onto the deadener material at all. The sound deadener looks to be some sort of rubber/sponge type material?

Thanks!

liquid nails is your friend... the "paneling" adhesive tacks the quickest. used a lot of it to hold lead sheet in my old rig. including on the roof... I had as much as 12lbs/sqft up there, and it held great :D
