Well. . I said I wasn't going to post any more of this weird stuff, but I just couldn't resist.

I ran into a long thread at forums3. anandtech.com , where CumminsPuller recommended I check out for career advice. The thread was in the Hot Deals Forum, where they post good prices on computer equipment for the most part.

When I ran across the pillow thread, it got me thinking about the many times I've shopped for the right pillow and never really got what I hoped would be the right one. The last time I bought a pillow, I laid on the floor at the store for a half hour and dozed with the pillow under my head. People were walking by looking at me strangely.

Is your pillow right for you? Did you spend more than $5 for your pillow? Is there a pillow that works for everyone?

A pair of rolled up coveralls works for me. Just make sure to put the zipper on the inside especially if you have a beard.

I like feather pillers. You have to fluff them up every night but at least you can. Nothing worse than a flat lumpy pillow.

I have to have feather. The brand I have now is Double down around.

I got it for x-mas, I think they run about $50. 00.

I like a firm thick pillow. I did the same thing, laid on the floor at the stoor. The really fluffy ones new just flatten out and get lumpy over time. So I picked a thick firm one and it has stayed the same for quite some time. My wife got a water filled one from "Quack the Chiroprac" She really likes it due to her neck problems, but I don't like the sloshing sound it makes.

How many of you flip your pillow over periodically during the night so that you are lying on the cool side? I got tired of doing that so I took a firm urethane foam pillow and ran a bunch of clear 1/4" plastic tubing back and forth through it, like a radiator. I use a small aquarium pump immersed in a tub of ice water that I put under the bed. By circulating cool water through it I always have a cool pillow to sleep on. In the summertime this is the cat's pajamas.

Beware that you don't get the water too cold or you may end up with a headache.

just some regular, but i have no support on my neck at all. i really want to get one of those $100+ ones made of that memory foam invented by nasa. i layed on one of those beds with the pillow at Brookstone... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... oh man i want one:{

I'm a pillow flipper. With my luck I'd strangle myself flipping a pillow with tubes hanging out of it. Old habits die hard :)

I thought I'd have that trouble too. Turns out that my 'pillow flipping response' is triggered by a warm pillow. As long as it's cool I have no urge to 'pillow flip. ' :)
