What Kind of sound do you hear when the rail limit valve pops open?

Just wondering what the rail pressure limit valve sounds like when it opens.





Does it even make a sound? Is it a one time sound?

Well, I guess no one has had this happen.



I was just wondering if it made a noise. This way if I add a pressure box at some point I may have a clue if the valve makes a noise when it opens or not.

there is no sound or noise, it is spring loaded and will seat after it opens. it is the repeated opening under high pressure that will cause it not to seat when pressure is not high. like anything it has a life cycle.

I've wondered about this too. FWIW, where does the vented fuel go? I'm assuming it goes back into the fuel system somewhere?

It goes into the fuel filter canister... .

No, it goes into the tank return line. Same line that returns bypass fuel from the CP3 and injectors.
