I need some advice on tires from you 2500 4x4 owners. I bought some steel w/t wheels so that I could swap out rims and tires for the winter. I need a tire that is alittle more aggressive than the stock Michilen; I'm tired of getting stuck in my driveway and yard. Just curious what everyone else was running; brand and size.

I'm not quite sure of the size of steel wheels without getting off my butt and going to the garage, but I know that they are an inch smaller than the stock aluminum wheels for the '01.

I hope you meen a inch smaller in width and not hieght?? Anyway if you want a fairly inexpensive tire that is more aggresive for the winter time you might want to look at the Dunlop Mud Rover. Price wise is not bad and the tire is aggressive. It comes in a wide variety of sizes too!!

Statebull...

I have a 3500, and have only had the factory a/s michelons on, but have taken it to montana to my cabin many times... from deep mud to 12 inches of snow. I just go easy on the throttle, and it does great.

I have recently come into possession of a complete set of spare wheels. Thanks again, Papa Joe! I am going to mount some more agressive tires on them for the winter and do the same thing. My plan is to go to my favorite little tire store, pick what I want by looking at all of them, have them siped and mounted. The siping really helped on my CJ7, so I gotta do it on the next set I buy. Of course, generally, the more agressive you get, the more whine you get out of them.
