Daily Chuckle...

OK I bumped my damn head today!

College student  But upon graduation and stepping into the real world, I'm not really sure yet. I am currently taking the classes to be able to take the test to be a real estate agent(If any of you know a broker in Ohio that would sponser me to take the test, let me know :D !) Its kind of scary I have been in school for the last 17 years of my life so, now its not so much of when I grow up, but what now? Of course I still have a little while till graduation, I dont graduate till next November, but still thats really close!! :--)

I am a travelling Radiologic Technologist. My wife is an Operating Room nurse. We sign up with various agencies and they send us to different hospitals all over the western U. S. , usually for 13 weeks at a time. We live in a big fifth-wheel trailer and pull our "house" with the CTD. It is a great way to see the country and get paid to do it at the same time. Oo.

VERY NICE WORK!

BigHammer- Thanks for the nice words! I was very impressed with it also! I am just doing this as a side job right now (using the $$$ for my truck project) but within the next 6 months I will be jumping into it full time. Jobs like that are hard though and takes alot of time. Total hours was almost 400hrs from start to finish... made me wonder 3/4's of the way thru if it was worth it... . now I know when people like your self and others that see my pictures that it was 110% worth it!!!!!!!!

Thanks Man!

District Park Ranger for the county. Just got promoted from Park Ranger and am pushing more paper and bits and bytes, but hopefully that will slow down if I get some staff. Then back to everything from welding to cleaning toilets to dealing with annoying kids at skateparks! Hmmm, I never go to parks on my day off...

1. Mechanic for the energy company here in town

2. Marketing Promotions Field Coordinator for U. S. Smokeless Tobacco Co. on the weekend.

I am waiting for test results I took to become a Lineman's Helper, eventually becoming a Distribution Journeyman Lineman. In other words, the way I was told-- "You will work on everything from 120 volts all the way to 345,000 volts"... All I say is BRING IT ON!

RyanB, beautiful work, I not only wish to have cabinets like that but a house worthy of that cabinetry. It's pretty interesting to see the different occupations, I have seen any from my side yet.

I graduated as a Mechanical Engineer focusing on machine design but ended up spending the last 12 years designing fire protection equipment ranging from fire truck hardware, nozzles, valves, and sprinklers. I get to play with fire and water on a regular basis Oo.

EEKs, theres that Lineman work again, thats some serious stuff.

With all this diversity, it looks like we need to designate a place to meet up when the end of the world comes so we can start a new civilization... . :p :D

Self Empolyed Carpenter/handyman. Included in that job I do most of the following...

-Basement finishes

-Tile (floors, showers, walls, fireplaces, etc)

-Finish Work

-Wood Floors

-Custom Cabinets (none of that box cabinet crap!)

-Lic. Low Voltage Installer as well

-And some other trades that I dare not list... I think you in the business know what I mean.

Love my Job! Not always doing the same thing every week, so change is good. Keeps me from getting bored at work.

Heres some pics of my own basement I have been working on. As you can see, I dont like your traditional stuff :D

All the doors are trimmed this way.

#ad

Build in Linen Cab. in bathroom, trimmed out to match the doors.

#ad

Custom built vanity (36" tall instead of the standard 30", I hate bending over to spit in the sink... lol)

#ad

Windows are trimmed out similar to the doors, and ledges are all painted wood as well.

#ad

I HATE bifold doors, so this is my alternative to that! Covers up my washer and dryer.

#ad

Wrapped opening is again similar to the doors. (man, I need to get my in-ceiling speakers, that looks ugly hangin down!)

#ad

Anyway, thats the kinda of work I do, and wish I could do that paticular style more often in peoples homes. I get so sick of ranch trim and your standard cheap crap. Hope ya like the pics!
