Will LS get you a set of Michelins? That would be the ultimate in a tire + service.

Go with the BF Goodrich A/t - I've gotten as much as 50,000 miles out of a set. Rotated and air ck. regularly. Stay away from Michelin's. They are junk. (IMHO) I also feel Les Schwaub is a great place to do business. Larry

Tires????

Big Mike, lots of good opinions here. As you can see the Michelins are a great tire as are the Toyo's. Just use your judgement and think about the tires that have served you well. Me I like the Michelins the Toyos and the BFGs. The BFGs just don't get the mileage that the Michelins get... ... ..... Pete

I like the bf goodrich a/t radial. I have 265/75/16s. they are a little pricey but worth the money. stay away from the cooper discoverer. they wear REAL FAST!

I would recommend that you buy a brand tire you are going to like and care enough about to keep at the proper inflation levels, balanced and rotated. For me it's kind of a self fulfilling prophecy. If I purchase a vehicle with tires I think are junk, I end up going lax on their upkeep, and sure enough I get poor service out of them. Hope that makes sense. (BTW, I support Goodyear with my tire $$$) ;)

I was going to go with the BFG A/T... but the Les Schwab TXR was over $300 cheaper for the set. Next time I am going with the BFG's... ... ... . Schwab tires do not stay ballanced!

The Cooper hiway tread e-rated is an excellent tire. Michellin is too. Those are theonly ones I would consider. Never been able to keep BFG's balanced on my 1 ton. Other people I know had the same problem and cured it with Michellins. But for my money (of which there ain't a whole lot), Cooper is the most tire for the money. I have heard of people having problems with cheaper Cooper SUV tires, but I'm not in the market for those tires, so it doesn't matter to me!
