Hey guys. . I'm pretty familiar with most products out there, though the best way to learn more is to ask those who've tried more combinations. I'm wanting my 05 dually to run 12. 99 or better. It's a crew cab, 4x4 with a topper. . Weighs in at 8,040 pounds. Last thursday it ran a 13. 47 at 101. 6 with a lazy 2. 0 or 1. 95 sixty. I'm running a PS62, DDP 90hp injectors, crazy larry, intake exhaust, full trans, etc. . I tried running the torque mgt delete, and broke the output shaft a few weeks ago. . I now have billet input, and output shafts, though I'm still kinda scared to launch hard. Should I be? Will the intermediate break at this power level and weight? What should my next mod be? I pull heavy loads at times, so I don't know if more turbo is an option. Don't want the expense of twins. Would a modded cp3 be a bad idea because of towing? I would do a small shot of nitrous, though the truck only smokes coming off the line, then it clears up. I also tow my racetruck with this one, and I thought it would be awesome if my tow truck did 12's. . all part of the addiction I guess. .

a modded cp3 will help alot and would be great for towing as well, also i would reccomend another box preferably a pressure box. that would easily put you in the mid 12's and towing would be much better. i would like to help you with you project, shoot me a pm. hope this helps Oo.

I also agree with the modded cp3 idea. I think you could easily be in the 12s if you keep the transmission together, without the nitrous

I would put a high pressure lift pump on it Fass or something to supply more fuel to the pump. And I would try a pressure box stacked too . And watch your rail pressure and see if it is falling off or not.

do you have stock injectors and stock cp3, if so your truck is really movin Oo.

his first post says he is running 90hp DDP injectors. i aggree a modded cp3 would do you well for racing and towing.

1. I would get a walbro kit from Glacier Diesel. (not only is it cheaper but its alot more adjustable and you have alot more options)

2. Call HTS and get their special programming for your bully dog

With their Crazy Larry program, sps66, and their transmission I am in the 12's. (7200 pounds) With your injectors you should be in the 12's...

As many have proven you don't need a modded cp3 to get in the 12's.

His truck is 800 pounds heavier than my truck. He's already running 13. 47. If the new programming isn't enough stack it with a tst... .

WOW I DIDN'T EVEN SEE THAT HES REALLY MOVIN.

I CAN ONLY IMAGINE WHAT THAT TRUCK WOULD DO WITH A CP3 AND SOME INJECTORS. :--)

Hey guys, thanks for all the replies. . I do have the new crazy larry with the torque management delete. I'm just scared to run it. . That's why my 60' times are always around 2. 0. I broke the output shaft last time I tried it. I did do the complete transmission, billet input and output shafts this time. I didn't get the intermediate. I'm scared if I shoot for a faster 60', I will break more parts. That's why I'm just thinking about adding more power to make up for it.

Is the CP3 prooven to be dependable? This is my daily ride that I pull equipment and my racetruck with. I also have a stage two water meth kit sitting in my garage. Would that help out much? Can it cause harm to the engine?

Is changing the CP3 a big job? Any special tools needed?

the cp3 change is not that bad, any where from 2-3 hours depending if you have done it before and what year truck, and if the right tools are used. the cp3 mods increase reliability, as they do eliminate any bottle necks within the stock pump and provide your truck with constant volume and much needed pressure, water meth will also help alot in the egt department. put your tq management back on and you wont break anything, and you will still have a fast truck. Oo.

we can replace them in less than an hour but for someone who has not done it before it will take them much longer :D but yeah id say wade might be getting old.
