2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission What next?

I'm bored. I've done just about everything I can think of to my truck now, and am not sure what direction to head next.



I started out w/ my Edge Comp. That's in, but w/o the pump wire (no transmission mods yet )



Next, I installed all my gauges on my A-pillar. Pyro, boost, and transmission temp are all functional, although the transmission temp isn't actually measuring transmission temperature, but rather air-intake temp, because I'm too chicken to put it in right now. Is it that hard of a addition? If I were to buy the line that has the port, or I believe Jannety makes a nice setup for this? Should this be the next thing to do?



I know that the next thing to spend my money on is my transmission, and I will be putting a DTT VB and T/C in once I figure out my finances for this coming school year. Being a college kid and all, everything has to work out ahead of time.



It's washed, polished, and waxed, and I'm just lost as to where to go next. Throw me some ideas.

replace your bumpers, the oem ones will not help you in a crash or if you hit a deer.

Since you already have the Gauge setup installed, you may as well dom the transmission temp sender. I used the Jannetty kit and it works great. Alot cheaper then the line from DC but either setup will work. If you dant want to mess with the lines, at least get a May Hytec DD pan and put the sender in the pan. In the pan is better then none at all.

Well....

Whitmore... . someday I will have better bumpers, but they cost $$$, and right now all that stuff is being saved so I can make myself a transmission to hold the power of my Comp and probably some DD2's or 3's.



Shovelhead... . a rolling Playstation??? I like that idea. Can't ever have enough switches and buttons and weird things to mess with.



EMDDIESEL... . I will install the transmission temp gauge sooner rather than later, and it will go into the line coming from the transmission to the cooler. I've learned enough to know where the good temp readings come from. Where can I find out more info on the Jannetty kit?

The transmission temp is a piece of cake. Get a bell reducer which is 1/8NPT male x 1/4NPT female and a bushing which is 1/8NPT by 1/4NPT, screw your sender into the bushing then screw the bushing into the bell reducer. Install the send on the drivers side of the transmission behind the shift linkage and toward the top you will find a plug with a 7/16" hex head. Remove this plug and install your sender. If you have questions give me a call I will be happy to discuss it with you.



As for whats next, how about a 4" down pipe with 4" exhaust system attached and an aFe air intake or maybe some really cool White Knight backup lights.

get a jake brake and do yourself a favor and get a Eaton/Fuller shift knob from Bob V so you can have a switch to activate it and while your at it there is another switch there too, do the 2 wheel low kit so you can use low range and 2 wheel drive for backing large loads... ... ..... your truck will love you back for this one ... ... ... .
