What % of diesel fuel is in the oil????

On the Ford site they say Ford allows 6%! What do we see when you guys are running oil analysis?

My last oil sample was <. 5% fuel with 4,100 miles on the oil - Delo 400. Blackstone oil sample sheet says that fuel/oil ratio should be less than 2%.

i haven't taken any samples of mine, but on the engines at work, 1% is max... [but at work, 1% is about 3 gallons ]

I have never seen more then 1% even with as much as 75k on oil.

I've never had an analysis that came back with 1%! The report has always said <1 which meens less than 1 % My oil now has a bit more than 45,000 miles on it.

Thanks for that clarification Amsoilman. Mine too all say <1 for fuel. I just thought that meant 1%.

On a 16 quart sump, that would be a full quart of diesel fuel in the oil

I can't imagine any Manufacturer allowing a 6% fuel dilution! Used oil analysis labs consider 2. 0% as abnormal, and 3. 0% and above as EXCESSIVE!
