I just bought a 215 cummins parts engine off ebay for a p7100 conversion. I don't want the whole engine & the seller said he would remove the parts I want. What parts should I have him remove? I searched previous threads and couldn't really find a list of parts for this conversion, just bits & pieces here & there.

dodge cummins with ve rotary pump. I see you are in stockton, I am working on a construction project in ripon near modesto.

You say its a parts engine. Is there something wrong with it? Do you not want the whole thing because of shipping across the country etc? If not, I'd take the whole thing. You can resale parts, and or you never know when you need parts.

As far as parts: p-pump, lift pump, metal fuel line to fuel filter, any throttle brackets, pump mounting brackets, timing case, cover, pump gear, injection lines, inj line hold-downs, injectors. I think thats all you need thats related to the conversion. If it were me and you only wanted small parts because of shipping etc, I'd continue with valve covers, water pump, turbo, anything that can be unbolted... heck I'd take the whole engine.

Wouldn't it be 1000 times easier to just get and use the whole 12v, you paid for it, stuff is allready on it and it should bolt right in, that also gives you the chance to do cool stuff like cam, crank girdle, head porting, etc... etc... before the install. No?

thanks for the list of parts BGilbert. The engine is in GA I am in CA, shipping is more than I paid for the motor. Also the block has a hole in it.
