what parts would you get for hvac

I've got to put in the blend doors for my hvac system and will be using all 4 heater treater doors. But before I pull it I was wanting to ask opinions on should I get a heater core (1) and (2) should I buy a genuine mopar core or is there after market that can be trusted? Also (3)should I buy any of the foam or packing is what mopar call it for the seal to the cab? Is there any advise you have for this job? I just want to do it once. Thanks for any and all input 06 quad cab

Get the heater core!!!! Mine leaked not too long after the blend door replacement and had to re-pull the dash. I bought a middle priced unit from Rockauto.

The foam connections weren't in too bad of shape so I chose to reuse it.

Take your time and have a few beers in between. It's honestly a Saturday project.

You might want to think about replacing the evaporator core too. I used parts from Napa when I did mine. I don't have an opinion as to whether Mopar parts are any better.
