What problems do I need to look for on a 90 CTD? Any major problems with that year?

It is a 90 CTD 5sp, 4x4, long bed, reg cab. Supposedly has a rebuilt transmission. What do I need to check for when looking this thing over - as in anything special to this year?



What problems/pitfalls are there with the 90 models in general?



I know a lot about the 94 - 98's but very little about these.

There isn't anything special that is troublesome to that year. The only downfall is that it is non-intercooled which can be solved by aftermarket vendors or a junkyard with the correct parts. This is if you want to turn up the power any. I would check for cowl cracks below the windshield frame under the front fender. Do a search on this and see what you come up with. Check to see that no water leaks into the cab, and all is mechanically well. How many miles are on it?
