I have been running without a torque plate for about a year. I just put in a 4k gov kit an the truck runs like a scalded dog. The egt's are through the roof, but the power is great. Everyone has told me to put a plate back in, so I put my homemade #10 back in. Now it runs like a pooch, I can't get more than 38lbs boost my wastegate is at 42. I hate it, but it is safer on the truck. What should I do to restore and achieve a little more power, but be safe? 370 injectors, delivery valves, a different plate "which is more powerful 10 or 5" the tech guy at piers said make a zero plate.

Thank you, Darin

Darin, a #12 is the "weakest" and a #0 would be all sorts of fuel. I have a #8 slid up a bit and its great, you should match the plate with your transmission and its upgrades or lack thereof. did you scribe the location of the stock plate when you took it out? First, you might have the plate slid to far back (towards the cab). Second, where's your starwheel? With the spring kit, it should be all the way toward the grille, thats what TST said. Thirdly, you might want to intstall an orficed boost elbow, more fuel + more boost =power.

I would say once you've done/checked those things (all cheap) I would do 370's, then youll have all the power you need (until you get bit by the BOMBING bug again).
