Friends and relatives keep asking me what I would like for Christmas, and so I though I'd go to the board for help. Take a look at the signature and let me know what the next step is. I went through Ted J's post on the proper way of upgrading, but now what? Where would I get my next bang for my buck? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Shunk,

Looking at your sig the Comp and DD2's are out

Air filter jumps at me from your sig.

K&N or AFE either in the stock box if you want to stick with that or go to the re-0880 style and Ted J's Cold air intake or the BHAF

EZ edge (love mine)

Southbend Clutch

Just some thoughts.

I would go with the COMP(don't have to punch the wire until you are ready) and dd2's

Ted

well

Update

Just send your truck and a blank check to DD and close your eyes

I tried to insert one of those silly looking faces after my signature to show my opinion of injectors and the box were a joke. In fact, they work great, much to the chagrin of my neighbor's powerstroke. And the fuel wire really woke it up! I'm concerned about the great air filter debate as I've heard that there are a lot of people posting they have had dirt get through the sides of the K&N filter.

Good point on the auto Bob.

Skunk- I have never had a problem with a K&N but it is up to you. It does not matter how many time with war over air filters is played out it still does nothing for me. I have to try thing myself if I really want answers. I am switching from the stock box ( I have both K&N and Amsoil) to a cold air with an AFE is a couple week. We will see how the AFE products are. The major problem with K&N is that the model for the stock box does not seal well. I put in some foam tape to tighten up the seal.

Get the comp, Bob is right it is the best bang for the buck. Piers has a sale right now check it out at this
