Hey guys, anyone know the size or thread of the slotted screw in this pic? I was tryin to slide my fuel plate forward but this stubborn last guy on the afc housing wouldn't have it and it was gettin late so hadda bolt it all back up. It's on the upper part inline with the breakaway bolt. Tried for about an hour usin a flathead and a bit driver and just kept chippin away, so I think I'm gonna have to cut it, but would like a replacement standing by as soon as I'm done. That way I can just bolt it all back up without any delay or worries. I'd appreciate the help and advice, thanks in advance. Take care.

dont cut it, use a sharp chisel on a hard angle with the head of the screw, tap with a hammer to set the chisel, then angle it hard so you're unscrewing it, and tap-tap-tap. I bet it`ll come right out.

Might want to try breaking the paint at the base of the head first, that may loosen her up a bit. .

good luck

When you get to a store that has metric bolts pick up two for the top of the cover and two for the mounting plate for the solenoid, or bottom of the cover. The length for the top two is about 3/4" the other two around 1". Get them with the alan head, and get a set of alan wrenches that has the round head on the long end. Harbor freight tool has them. Sae and Metric.

Thanks a bunch for the help guys. It's really cool havin a whole group of people doin the same stuff to turn too for help. Gotta love the tdr, thanks again.

Don't do what I did and get stainless screws. If you drop them you cant dig them out with a magnet. Learned a tough lesson on that one.
