What size socket do you need to get the top of the fuel filter housing off? I know , I know; but for some reason, after I loaned my tools to a fellow driver, I seem to have lost all sockets over one inch; and so now I need to get another one. HELP!!!

You may have to ask for replies than take an average lol. It's been many moons but I think I remember it as 26mm or 28mm. Anybody else?

I went out and bought a 1 1/8" socket to store with the tools I keep in my frame tube storage compartments. I've also got a ratchet with extension, assorted sockets, a flexible mechanical claw and an array of screwdrivers and pliers. Hopefully, I can handle most emergency road repairs, including oil changes, and oil and fuel filter changes. The only thing that doesn't fit in there is the oil filter wrench (cup type with 3/8" drive fitting), so I keep that in a baggy under the back seat with my spare oil and fuel filters.
