Ever Been Disappointed By Your Role Model?

Well, a couple of member beat me to the punch...

Los Angeles / Hollyweird / San Francisco ... Kalifornia, no kwestion. At least the densely populated portions of it. Those few sane residents that drive diesels and are upstanding TDR members are surrounded by the ever expanding sea of fruits and nuts :{

Tom

Yeah I would have to agree with you Tom there are a lot of nuts living around Sacramento, usually up Hwy 50 towards placerville. !!!!!

Just kidding...

Way to many people moving north from down south. Earlier this month I was in Sac. More and more people. Using up that valuable Ag land to plant people. Who usually bring their bad attitudes with them.

And guess what I'm moving back. So than will make 35,000,001 weirdos in CA.

P Town! I wen down there for the first time with my wife to "see what it's all about". Look at all the pretty colors! (Sorry I can't type in a lisp)

Been a long time since I was out by the bridge. Probably right. Only been near it a couple of times.

CFAR - hey, well, if you are moving to the Sacto area, we'll have to get together after you move and grab a cold one. There's a pretty good crop of diesel heads in this part of the state, you'll be in good company :)

I rank Illinois up there with The People's Republic of California--its not that they're strange, I just don't like 'em -- not all of them, but most of them.

Iowa still has the strangest brew so far... walk into a rural town cafe, its like a scene from a movie off the Sci-Fi Channel.

I'm originally from Iowa. I'd rather be back there than where I'm at in Illinois. Too many ***holes from the QC area moving here (drivers in particular) and some from Chicago.

As far as the people in the cafes- you'll get that from almost any small town if you didn't grow up in or near the area and don't know many/any of the people there. It's the same here too.

Probably the strangest people I have met are the ones that own goats or sheep. Next are usually horse owners. Several of each around here, they're either really wierd (goat/sheep) of jerks (horse).

Iowa, hands down

Back in'94 or '95 when I set up the Dodge test drive show at the big farm show at the Amana colonies I had SEVERAL "farmers" tell me "you haven't lived till you spent a night in a sheep pasture with a bottle or two of Jack Daniels" :--) . I just kinda took their word on the subject and watched them while they were in the area!!!

Eric, (DieselSportsPromotion)

If Seattle is full of weirdos and what ever else you called them I guess that you were up in the Capitol Hill area. If you are heterosexual and have had a bath in the past month then you are certainly the minority.

Sorry I have to disagree... I live in the next county to the north of LA County, but my wife is from the bay area (San Francisco). It is a beautiful area,up there, but it is packed full of wacko liberals... and they have a big chip on their shoulders about Southern Calif. I have to bite my tongue every time I'm up there... well OK sometimes my conservative values slip out!

I also think Central Calif. has the most down to earth people in Calif.

BTW: I have traveled alot and have lived in: Calif. , Colo. , Kan. ,MO, Ill. ,IW,

I would have to saw Michigan, look at Steve St. L(gotta get ya back for the "weight" commit at the Tex. Roadhouse), Rob Thomass, and Doc, and a host of others as proof.

Then again Stakeman makes up for all them, and Merrick. :D :p

just kidding guys! ;)

There are enough strange people in Massachusetts that it makes me want to move. There is only one thing stopping me--the strange people in other states:--)
