I've given the following suggestions to several guys.....

1 - look for a vendor that builds and sells both exhaust brakes and engine brakes to several vehicle manufactures... .

2 - look for a vendor who has in house engineering and in house manufacturing

3 - look for a vendor who's been doing it for 20 years and has a dealer network based on HD applications... .

4 - check their web sights and make your decisision... .

Jelag, I've got a couple of questions for you. Hope you can help witha little advice. I have an '03, HO, 6-speed, with a 4" exhaust. I still have the 3-1/2" downpipe on the stock turbo. At the end of the downpipe is where it expands into 4". I'm interested in the Pacbrake product. I've been told to put an inline, 4" brake rather than the brake that conects to the back of the turbo. The reason being that if you upgrade to a larger turbo, in the future, you won't be able to use the brake. Hence, the inline brake. Are their any problems using the inline brake? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, in advance. Joe F. (Buffalo).

I've had an inline brake on my '99 for 4yrs. , a BD... it has been flawless. When I do it again, I plan on doing the same thing on my '04. Leaning toward the one that uses an air compressor versus the one that requires a different serpentine belt. FWIW
