Dissatisfied Ford owner

Heavy Equipment and Transport Tech.

Why does it sound like they are "Trying to be like Mike"?

V6 and a V8 option?!?! Aluminum Heads, THIN walled block, matched performance to GAS.

Loooots of trq. , no HP.

IF IT AINT BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!

Wasn't that design for 1/2 ton trucks and smaller SUV's? Thats what I'm thinking for some reason. Seems like Ford was talking about diesel F-150's too. If they were to go for that design they can count me out. I wont own a diesel V-8. They just are not worth it to me. I'd much rather just get a gas V8.

v8 Cummins

Both are rate only for Tier 2 6000-8500lb GVW so I couldn't see them in the 2500/3500 series.

Horse Pucky :D I agree! To a point. The V6 Application for the durango / dakota crowd who prolly wouldn't tinker with their trucks is a vaiable option. The CTD Rams are a different story all together being they are in the limelight of the big 3 war on whos who. The 4. 2 would be a pip in a rango for all the soccer dads and wall street paper humpers that want to hit the scene in the burbs in class (All they will see from this is MB for the day traders)

Sounds like competition for the PSD 6. 0. It's quick like a gas V8 but has a short life and can't haul the big loads. :p

Difference being it's a Cummins. It'll make it past the 1,000 mile mark without a major engine meltdown. :D
