Competition 3rd gen,685hp Diesel only

Really depends on lots of other things on the truck. We've got an 01 that runs 11. 60's in the 1/4 at 116 mph on a single charger with some spray. It will go sub 12. 50's on #2 alone, again with a single charger. That is a 4wd that weighs around 6800lb. I'm always leary of throwing dyno numbers around, I have seen a lot of instances where dyno #'s didn't equate to real world performance. That ET and mph should give you an idea, its making quite a bit of power. Anyway, to answer your question, it really depends on what you want to do with the truck. There is now doubt that ultimately it is necessary to go to a p pump to get more performance, but I think people are sometimes a bit quick to try and make the jump. A VP 44 properly set up with the supporting systems can make some descent power and pretty impressive performance.

We made 832 RWHP @ Fall Brawl this year. There is more to come with a little more tuning, 850 shouldn't be too hard and I believe 900 is possible.

Yes impressive numbers no doubt, but how much of that is on spray? What does it spin without the bottles?

Does it matter :D ..... Actually its a single turboed truck that makes right at the 600 mark on diesel, so around 230+ is made on the gas. This is using a stock ETC pump. We set this truck up to make power on nitrous not just diesel, I would have gone a different route on the setup for a straight #2 truck.

Remember nitrous is nothing more than oxygen in a bottle for our trucks. It works under the same principle as using turbos by providing for a dense concentration of oxygen molecules within the cylinder.

That IS a healthy kick in the seat though!

Jet pilot, what would happen if you added propane with the NOS? More heat? Just curious because I was thinking about putting it on mine.

At the Fall Brawl this year I did 656 rwhp on # 2 only. Not the highest on a VP truck on #2 , but pretty respectable.

I played with that mix back on 2001, on a hig HP truck propane doesn't really add much HP..... I had a big Bully Dog setup that with everything on would only make about another 10 HP. We drilled it out really big and got between 15-20HP gain. But the cylinder pressures are really high! You really don't need propane and nitrous just go with good injectors and the gas.
