Too Cool!

I You Were Re-Incarnated As A Dog...

Today, Mrs Doc and I took our ritual drive to one of the many Cider Mills in our area. This is one of the things I like most about living here in Big Toilet, Michigan. Nothing better than some fresh squeezed cider and a half dozen hot and greasy donuts, fresh out of the vat of lard.

Is there something in your community that you like to do, that a lot of others miss out on because they live in the wrong part of the country?

I think the thing I like most about the little town I am from is ..... not having to go there very often!! Tourist trap, no parking, blind drivers and the list goes on.

Probably not what you were looking for..... :D

Winter, when the high pressure is off the coast and it's clear as a bell. Town is deserted, exept for locals, and the temps are in the 20's.

Crisp air, snow capped mountains, and blue water and sky.

Although many either leave town or don't leave their house for the week, I enjoy Cheyenne Frontier Days, or as Whitmore called it Front and Rear Days. I think he's got a point, maybe that's why I enjoy it so much. :D

I also like having the mountains very close by and I can antelope hunt right out my back door.

Skiing in the winter and camping in the summer.

Winter camping is fun too, and with snow making at A-basin, we could be skiing year 'round!

Anyone have a skiing smiley?

We got V&V Sausage,Meyers Sausage, good little brewery down in Shiner,Tx hogs across the road and to the North,a few chicken houses scattered around, lots of cows and a hell of a lot flies. :--)

And a good aroma. :D

Coney Island, dirty water dogs, nyc cabies , the fast paced action , & most of all a nice girl from Bayridge the kind you take home every night but never wake up with WHOU AHH! Oo. :D

Nothing better than the folks I grew up around. Small Town, CSA. I love the pine trees and rolling hills, antebellum homes along the Mississippi River complete with ghosts. Good 'ol country folk ready to help each other out at a moment's notice. The thing I miss most is sitting on the front porch in the summertime enjoying a cool breeze in the alte evening and listening to a train blowing for the railroad crossing down the road. In the wintertime hunting season, the sight of the world waking up before you. Sitting in a tree stand colder than crap, watching the sun rise and melt the dew on the grass in the pasture. The way the air smells after a rain. And I don't care what anyone says... there is absolutely no better food than good 'ol Cajun cooking from South Louisiana! LSU football and baseball. And Lord but I do love those Southern belles. :) Damn but I do miss my home. Can't wait till I can move back there and buy some land and make some new memories.

I miss a lot about the place I grew up - winter snow drifts up over the house, wind all the time, feeling the air in your nose freeze up, even that special shade of grey the sky gets on a late winter afternoon before a snowstorm. I miss being able to ride my bicycle around city streets without worrying about traffic. I miss seeing real mountains out the window, and real plains out the other window. I miss hot summer days out at Lake Alcova, and cross-country skiing at Hogadan. Most of all, I miss living in a 'big city' with 50,000 people, in a state with less than a half million. I stayed in VA after the military 'cause I got a job here - but I've still got Casper Wyoming in my heart!

BIGDIGThe only thing I like about my community is the way it looks in my rear view. BIGDIG I could not agree with you any more on that as the city of PITTSBURGH is bankrupt and falling apart fast.

The ocean view from my house, ******* off my neighbors every morning. The city, getting partly naked while working at the bar, most of all white castles at 4am to soak up the alcahol from a hard night of drinking at the bar, or a few dogs on the way out of the bar after a hard night at work.

The hot guy you meet at the bar, get him to buy you shots all night, take him home and toss his a$$ out of bed in the morning and tell him not to let the door hit him on the a$$ when he leaves.

All I can say is sweetness. Don't hold back now, tell us what you really like. Darlin you're welcome down here anytime... You'd fit right in. LOL! Oo. :D  :p Oo.
