I've got Michelin 265's with E load range on my truck. It says 80psi max (cold). I got them with 50psi from the dealer and have been running that ever since. But I've always ran max pressure in my other trucks up front and slightly less in back (never had a tire rated over 50psi though).

I'm thinking about running 75-80 in the fronts and keeping 50 in the backs. Less rolling resistance equals better mileage is the way I've always been told. What's everybody else running?

I run them at the pressure that allows the tread to fully contact the ground. If I run at full 80 lbs the edges are off the ground. If I run at a lower pressure, I will wear out the edges of the tires more than the center.
I try to run the tires so they are flat on the ground.

Unloaded - 50 and 50 per my dealer - I have a 12 volt compressor on board for increasing the rear tires to 80 with a full load but 50 feels good on the road - This is a 2500 4X4 long bed with a cap and the wear looks fine so far.

I keep 75 in the fronts and 50 in the duals when running empty and 75 when I'm hauling my lance camper or other heavy load. I have 36,000 on the factory michelins and will be able to get another 10,000 out of them before they have to be replaced. Although I must admit my snow traction is really suffering this winter.

Unloaded, 45lbs in front, 40lbs rear. For my vehicle this allows the tire to wear evenly. I tried higher pressures, but just wore the centers faster.

How do you like the DD2's? Did you need the 4" exhaust for egt's?

I've got a 250lb. front end so I guess running 60F and 50R will be ok. Got a long trip tomorrow so I'll see how she handles.

Didn't really need the 4" for the DD2's, but did for level 2 and 3 on the PE. Made a good bit of difference.

My truck is 2wd long bed. With the extra tank I carry 60 in all four. Lookin good and even with almost 19,000 miles on em. I do air up the rear to 75 if I load her down which is quite often. I rotate and balance every 5-6000. I think that helps a bunch.

Look at all that paper they put in the glove box. Somewhere there is a sheet from Michelin which identifies your truck and your tires and shows loaded and unloaded pressures. bg

I have tried several different preassures,
but for the best ride with the best fuel economy, I put mine at 65 front and 60 rear
I get 16MPG around town and 20-22 on the freeway. I have the Michelins 265/75-16

Name of rig is "big bronze Brute"

I'm running 65 in the front and 60 in the duals. That's what the paperwork that came with the truck calls for when loaded or towing. I like the ride so I just leave them like that, now. Tire wear is even.

I run 65 front and 55 rear. I rotate every 7000 miles. I have 17000 on the tires so far and you can barely see any wear. The last 2 tankfuls i got 19 mpg combo city/hwy. I get 26-27 mpg on the highway at 65 mph. If I were to carry a full load, I would pump the front to 70 and the rear to 70-75 .

The paperwork in glovebox and the manual say that for the 265's light load should be 45F and 40R. Full= 55F and 70R. I've noticed comments from quite a few people stating that even at full load they keep the rear at 5-10 lbs less than the front. Why is this?
