I don't know 2nd gens like I do 3rd gens so I figured I'd come to the experts.

My friends got an '01 Cummins with a Drag Comp currently. He has all the supporting upgrades, Clutch, FASS, HX Super 40, AFE Stage 2, stock VP44. After seeing the results of the Smarty on my '04, he asked me what to do next, Smarty or Injectors or VP44, or what??

If he is keeping the egts in check with his current mods..... injectors will help out alot. He could try some edge jammer tips..... they are working great from what I hear, but I like the II injectors myself. I'd say a 100hp injector will wake that truck up. The SS62 from HT really brought my truck to life & smarty was alot of help too. I'd probably throw some tips in for $250 & add a smarty then get a SS62 from HT.

For me it would be a no brainer. Id go with some 100hp injectors. Later add a Bigger turbo (sell old one to me:-laf ) and smarty.

Injectors would definitely be the next step for him. I would look into the Dynomite Diesel injectors - more availability and cost won't kill your wallet like some of the others.

I would stick in a set of Mach 4's and smile... ...

That is what I did... . plus a smarty. Now I want to get o-ringed and studded so I can get a bigger turbo.

Oh ya, he could add H20-Meth to help with EGT's, that what I have on tap for my HX40.
