Bernhard, sre you 6doubleduece on DTR? Your probably right about the the head gasket and timing. I lost mine at 40psi. with water meth. My timing is 1/8" and is fine for daily driven work truck. I am proably gonna move it all the way until it stops. Me and a few other diesels are going to the track on January 1st. Hopefully you can make it. Where are you going to dyno your truck at?

Yep thats me. I was thinking of switching my ksb just for when I need that extra timing, but I think I shouldn't till I get head studs and o-rings. Guess I will hold off on the timing for a little while. I have a friend with a dyno :D they just got the shop and will be set up in about a week and a half , see what I mean about the timing and holding off for a "LITTLE WHILE" :-laf I guess I am just a junkie :-laf I have to talk to them about having a Diesel Dyno Day. By the way I live in Santa Rosa, But the dyno is in Rohnert Park. Any one interested? I am sure I could talk them into it.

Thanks

Brenden

definitely there are a lot of bombers on this site and others that would rally for a diesel day, let alone a first gen day

Nick

BTW I live in Davis near sacramento now

When you get a date lined up let us know I would make the trip down. Do you know what kind of dyno it is?? Look for a dyno day down at RPM Engine&Machine in Rohnert Park at the end of January. BBD mentioned that it would probably be sometime towards the end of January. There is no set date as of yet.

Man you sure move around dont you? Imlers will proabably have another dyno day, but it wont be untill April. If I make it down there before then I will have to give you a call and we can have a beer or something.

We may have to make it a a VE powered day :p see sig. :-laf I also have a friend doing a bombed 4BT into a 1 ton chevy. I will talk to the guys with the dyno in the next couple of days and post back here. How many people are interested? If we can get a good group together of "VE Pumped trucks" I am sure I can set this up.

Thanks

Brenden

I would definantly go. I also have a couple of friends here in Folsom that have first gens. BBD is talking about doing the 28th if Jan. Is anybody gonna be able to make it to the track on New Year's? Hopefully I can get in the 13's with my slicks and water meth :-laf

Count me in as well. I dont know if we can get just a big bunch of VE powered guys. I dont know how many live close enough to come. The dyno days that I have been to down in that area there isnt but maybe a handfull of First Genners that come.

If you did it would be cool kind of like the First Gen Day up at Piers's, but you might have to open it to all Diesels. Plus it is fun to beat up on some P-Pumpers/Fords/Chevy's. Might have to get the parts to build up a big pump again. :D

Ok, Sorry for the delay in posting. We have been trying to get it all worked out, and to work around what everyone has going on. It looks like we couldn't make it happen until the middle of Jan. I don't thing that would work well because of the dyno day at RPM on aproximatly the 28th of Jan. I think that it would be too much of a pain for every one to go to both. Taking into account the traveling being done.

So, I would like to ask you all what you think? What dates work good for you? Give me some feedback.

Thanks for you help!

Brenden

I think mid-late march would be good. I should have my twins on by then so my truck doesn't get too hot on the dyno. Also there is no other dynos that I know of around that time so we might get a lot of people to show. Then the next dyno would be late april at imler's.

Ok, March is sounding good. Come on guys help with the date and spreading the word. Also any suggestions on what you guys want to have for refreshments? let's hear it! What makes the day memorable? By the way bumped my timing and  It does help :-laf

Thanks Brenden

Hey, are you gonna be able to make it to the track on the 1st? If you do hopefully you don't lose the head gasket :-laf I will be there and I would like to meet you and check out your setup. I will also help spread the word for the dyno. Do you have any prices yet?

I'm not sure what is going on yet, But I will do my best to make it. I hope that old gasket will hold up for a little while too :p

As for prices. What have you guys seen? I know that Imlers is $75. 00 what were some of the others? Let me know and I will see to it that it is cheeper.

Thanks

Brenden
