Have decided not to put all the miles on my pickup this summer, so instead will drive my Dad's 86 Ford Ranger the 25 miles each way to work... for at least a month. During that time my plans are this:
1. Remove interior and soundproof, probably using dyanamat extreme, or possibly something else when the time comes. Will also detail interior at this time (to my perfectionist standards).
2. Tear entire front end off pickup (bumper, intercooler, radiator, all fluid coolers) and clean all the crap off my engine! There is 4 years worth of oil on it (puking out bottle) and it needs done!
3. Full exterior detail. Wash, wax, shine, etc.
What else to do during this time? Am saving my pennies this summer for my trip to Canada in August, so not gonna be throwing any stupid money at it, and no more power for a while. Maybe see what Mr. Wagner wants for some powder-coat work on the underhood stuff? Think he'd give me a package deal for everything (valve cover, intake horn, turbo even maybe?) ? Am considering sending my compressor housing up north to have it machined for a TAG II, as I'm doing the sound-proofing, may as well make that noisy thing quiet too!
Any more ideas, throw 'em at me! The cheaper/more free, the better!
