what to do?

Hey first gen guys, my father in law recently bought a 93 automatic truck and is wondering about more performance. what can he do, that the stock transmission can handle without spending a ton of money? thanks in advance, kevin

First, get a transmission temp gage installed so he *knows* when he could be hurting the transmission.



Then, tweak the pump. Costs nothing. See:

Needs to have boost, EGT gauges in addition to the transmission temp gauge. Then the items that DBF was talking about is BHAF air cleaner, larger exhaust, injectors, smaller exhaust turbo housing. There have been lots of posts on these items, do a search.
