Hey guys,

Getting ready to buy a 94 for an extra work truck and was wondering what to look for?? The truck is very clean and priced well under blue book etc. Is there anything I should be aware of as I'm only familiar with the 24v's. Thanks in advance:)

Check and make sure that the KDP has been done. It isn't as common on the 94's but its worth checking out. Check and see if the headlight switch is melted. If so get the recall 918(I think) and do it. 2 real good persons to get ahold of that would know is Joe G. or Steve St. Laurent. What they don't know about this style of truck doesn't need to be known. :)

Is that short for killer dowel pin? Sorry for the ignorance, but want to make sure this is a good purchase. Also are these motors just as strong as the later 12ers? If i wanted to turn it into a pulling truck down the road:eek: Thanks again for the help. I really need to know what all to do to it after the purchase ie: gauges, exhaust, fuel plate???? the list goes on:)

motors the same but the fuel pump and injectors are different. the 180 and 215 hp pumps make more power easier. the 94 will have a 160hp pump. if its an auto, save up you cash or leave it stock cause they cant handle much over stock. 5spd loses 5th gear. i just picked up a 97 12v 5spd yesterday for $7500. it dropped 5th so i got it cheap.

yeah I had to drop on my '02 transmission also, but well worth it. This truck will mainly be used as a secondary truck besides I'm sure it will feel like a major dog after driving the '02:-laf. Guess there's not that much to be concerned about on a 12v
