what transmission do I have?

I have an 03 ram 2500 4x4 and am trying to figure out if I have a 47 or 48re. Truck was built 6/03. How can I tell about what transmission I have? THe glove box sticker says transmission code is DG8.

You should have a 48RE. They were introduced mid year 2003. Your's is a year end 2003 model.
