Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) what transmission fluid in a full DTT trans???

installing my new DTT and was wondering which trans mission fluid to use. It is the 47RH. Thanx Lowell

DTT recommends ATF+3 only in their upgrades. This includes the 48re also. I personally run Quaker State in mine but that's just what Fred Swanson @ Desert Diesel Parts recommended and originally installed.

I spoke with Bill Kondolay once about this on the phone and he recommended Castrol Syntec Dexron III/Mercon ATF and add some red Lubegard ATF additive. I use ATF+3 in my transmission. I'm only running a DTT torque converter and valve body. Why don't you call DTT and ask Bill what he recommends? He'll answer all your questions. Definitely a class act. http://www.dieseltrans.com/ .
