What transmission??

What automatic transmission did dodge put behind the 250 hp s. o. engine in 2003? Was it the 47re or the 48re? Also has anybody with this setup had any problems?

Yep 47re with so until mid year 03 when they started putting in the 48re.

Ha. . just added that yesterday Truck comes out the shop on tuesday. I will give you an update its been a long time coming cant wait. I could make the stock one slip with just the bullet

Thanks for the info. I was just wondering about all of this stuff (i'm a manual transmission guy) because a friend just bought a 2003 Ram 2500 w/just over 85,000 miles. Tell me how the new transmission works out.
