SNUGTOP

Ive got a SNUGTOP TOPGUN that the factory painted to the truck color code. Very durable and looks awesome. I wanted something that looked different and the TOPGUN looks good on a 4x4. Look at 777's RIG in readers rigs and take a look.

ARE lids

I have an ARE fiberglass lid that came w/ my truck. The previous owner apparently had it since around '92! While it has taken some abuse (the hinge rivets are starting to go) I have been very impressed with it, and the local ARE dealer.



I wasn't given any keys for the lid which eliminated any "security" it had to offer, I went for a drive to the local dealer and they provided me a free set of keys and offered to order all parts necessary to fix the lid. Since I am not the original owner, my lid wasn't covered under warranty, but their expertise was great and they offered to order the $60 hinge to give the lid another few years of life.



Due to it's age and no warranty I may retire it, but if I buy another lid or cap it will be ARE.

Check out the topper on Denny's truck in TDR issue 36, page 136-137. Thats the kind of windows I recommend.

I have a Century T-class on my 3500. I do like it but it has problems. The sliding windows are stiff and don't slide easily. The thing moves around and I have to adjust the clamps every few months. I have that felt covering the inside. The one window on the driverside front seems to leak. I took it out and silconed it and it leaks the same. I can cover that window completely and it still leaks. I can't seem to find where the leak is. I checked for cracks and other places it could leak and run to that window. It is my project to find that leak. It is not bad but a pain when you are out camping and it drips on your head.



I still like this top and would not want any other one. It looks good and it is a perfect color match, black. They took the color code from the truck and painted the shell to match.
