I have a TST plate i bought back when they first came out, the number on the box is 87. Does anyone know what this is ??I see talk about #10 & #6 and so on. The plate is all the way forward

, I changed turbo housing to none waste gated, TST AFC spring kit, BD 4" turbo back pipe. My truck is strong but could be a lot stronger . My pyro has never shown over 850 degrees and i get about 30#boost does it seem alittle cold? thanks for any feedback.

If it's a TST plate it will have a number stamped on the top. Check out the info here:

The TST plate for your truck depends on your engine CPL number. Look on the data plate on the top of the gear case on the drivers side of the engine for the number. It is just behind the radiator. In general the smaller the plate number the more power. So a plate that works well in a '97 for example is not necessarily the plate for you. In fact, it may reduce the power from your '94.

Is your probe pre or post turbo? With 30# boost you should be seeming way over 850 degrees if mounted pre turbo. Post turbo may be about right, depending on the plate you have.

The answer is easy KYOUNG. Call TST, tell them you want to exchange it for a #4. The cost will be minimal. The #4 will make you feel all warm & fuzzy.

KYOUNG - When I had the HX35-12 & the #11 plate slid all the way forward, 340hp or so, I saw 900 to 950 post turbo @ 32psi. Thought all was well. Moved the probe pre-turbo & got to 1500.
