HI guys ! need a little help here! I recently pulled the head off of my truck had valves done and installed a new helix cam. Heads been reinstalled, new ats manifold etc. got everything together except one vacuum line, at least I think its a vacuum line . Its below the injection pump, and to the front of the power steering pump . It has an L shaped connector for a hose . I just cant figure what it connects to. I must have folded the line out of the way, and just cant find it! Please help!!!! I have a 98 1/2 california truck.

That sounds like the main line off the vacuum pump. The hose will go to the firewall, beside the hydroboost and master cylinder ,it is a 1/4 inch black plastic. It should hit the firewall, go to the passenger side, under the rubber seal. There should be a couple of smaller hoses, to the cad,(if 4x4) one will go down under the drivers side battery box to the cruse control and the rest will hook to the passenger side and go into the cab to run the vacuum to control the defrost (which is default) and to switch to the middle and floor.
Hope it helps, just follow the lines back.
Dirk

Thanks Dirk! You were right about the vac line connection. While I,ve been working on the truck redo I inadvertently knocked a small breather off of a line that went to the transfer case. It looks like a small drip irrigation head. So that was the first vac line I saw that was open and I plugged the vac line from the pump to it instead of the fitting near the master cylinder where it should have gone. I reinstalled the breather, and plugged the hose into the right line and everything works! Thanks again for your help!!!!
