are there any vendors that offer discounts to TDR members. I need to get a fuel plate and would like some current recomendations

The cheapest vender I've found is self. You take the AFC housing off and remove the plate. Only cost you time.

Dont pull the plate, just spend the small amount of money and get a plate. Its definitley worth. for the $200 it costs, you are gaining A LOT of power. Guys with gas engines would kill to gain that much power, or even half that much power for $200.

Well, I have a TST, and I'd say use them. I know if you get say, a #11 plate, and decide you want a #10 later on, you can exchange your old one and for 50 bucks, get the new one.

Jim, I don't believe it. You disputing me. What's the world coming to?

It's funny, but anytime, anywere I'll pull the AFC and show you the #6. One thing for people to think about is that it is calibrated on the stand with that plate, but it works.

I ordered a 10 plate from piers plus they recommend the 3k spring kit. after reading the posts both tst and piers are well respected, piers did a little better on price.

looking forward to putting them in if it warms up.

Back to a question that was asked earlier, what about the plates being sold on ebay? Are they any good or does anyone have any experience with them? I am about to get a #10 plate and was debating about buying one off ebay. You can get them on there between $99 - $139.

Where are you seeing the plates on e-bay?? I have searched and searched and can't find any plates for sale on there. I am looking for a #4 plate and I would rather not get one from TST due to the price and you have to get the kit with the template and boost elbow, which I don't need. Could you post a link to where they are? :)

Thanks, Joe

Jim... ... ... ... I have a #10 plate in my tow rig but nothing in my race truck. From a metering standpoint, what the difference in the 6 and the 10. I've never had enough fuel deliveried that I needed to meter it. Just got all the fuel I could and motor I could and motor on down the track.

Have I gone wrong?
