What was the first year the quad cab was offered, who does crew cab conversions?

I know the club cabs (extended cab) were available in '95 but what year did the 4 doors start?

Thanks guys. Does anyone know who (if anyone) is doing or used to do Dodge crew cab conversions? I did a search and found these guys. The limo is kind of nice but I really like the look of the pick-up. Too bad they are the wrong brand but I believe you can get a Cummins in those.

It is (or was, not sure about the new trucks) an option on the F650, and the pick-up version on the link you posted can be bought from any Ferd dealer from what I've been told.

Thanks Moose, that's one. Are there others?

I'm looking at converting (or better yet finding one used) a second gen.

If I won the lottery I'd probably get a new 650. That and start racing sleds again until the $$ is gone...

Extreme1, those guys moose listed are about 45 min from my house and i ahve seen some of there work first hand. a guy at the steel yard has a 96' true 4-door 12v. they also have done a 6-door dodge

By strange coincidence, I was reading one of the older issues of the TDR that was provided to me upon joining, and there was an article in Issue #47 (Feb-Apr 2005) on pages 8-9. The company making the conversions was McKinley Conversions; the author mentioned that they were relocating from CO to TX at the time.

I should note that the conversions shown in the article were extended cab but DID NOT convert the truck into a four-door.

In 98 you could get a CC or a QC. 98 was the last year for the CC and the first year for the QC. A 98 QC SB 12v is about the rarest CTD you'll find.

Quad Cab first showed up at the Dealers in 1998. Maybe there were some 98s that showed up in late 97, not sure. Mine is a 98 12v. (Q Cab) The 24v started 98 and 1/2. and was available as a Q Cab as well. -- email address removed --
