33K incl. 7. 5% tax

42K on the sticker

I've heard big trucks aren't moving so well due to the gas prices now though. You may be able to do better than that.

For fun I looked back at my truck purchase

Not a bad price :-laf

BUT, wow have these truck went up in MSRP ??! - WOAH!!!

I went to at least a dozen dealers, looking for a truck, and they all were different bottom lines. The best I could do was invoice and I keep the rebates. I went with a dealer about a mile from the house for $150 over invoice. When I told him I could do better he acted like I was trying to rob him. I have been reading that people on the board here do better (or lie ;) ).

So what was the best deal you could make? I'm really interested to see what the guys in my area did compared to other areas of the country, IS there a difference?

I stopped in and saw my salesman today and he told me they should have the truck July 2nd (just shy of 14 weeks).

Hank

Price is factory invoice (you get a copy) minus all available rebates plus a further discount of $1000 on all deisel trucks. '06 prices are not out yet but I have never seen them go more than $800 more than current model year prices and have actually seen them $200 less. Rebates/financing is a roll of the dice. If they are available... you get'm! If you come on Saturday we will feed you as well!

With Rick@DSM, Myself, and Butch at Dishman ---

No one on TDR (other then those WAY over on east coast) should be paying more than $1000 under invoice minus all rebates

Depending upon the truck - I have seen close to $1300 under invoice (on a $44000 invoiced truck, woah!!)

700. 00 under invoice.

It was the end of a big selling month and they needed to sell one more unit to get a volume kick back from DC. Thats what the sales gal said anyway.

The 700 they lost gained them several thousand on the other end.

Might have been blowing smoke but worked for me, I wanted out of my 02 1500 in a bad way.

I concur! I know Dishman does a good job ( I play golf with thier service manager) and it sounds as if Tommeygun is one of the good guys as well.

Rick, might I add that I envy your inventory ability...

I remember one time my rep said you had about 2000 trucks in the system

Heck, I just checked and it says you have 190+ of my favorite flavor of truck - the "DR8H41" - 3500 Shortie 4x4 QC - I am lucky to hold about 20 on my lot

LUCKY!!!

nice to have another informed Dealer here

PS - did you notice this: https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?t=132366

2005 Sticker $37,700, I paid 31,700 out the door at El Dorado Dodge in El Dorado Hills, CA. It would have been 30,700, but I did not use Chrysler financial. I paid cash, and maybe should have held out, but they gave me 1,000 more then expected on my 2002 Dodge Dakota. I will not divulge what they gave me for the Dakota... NEVER!

I priced the Reg Cab 4X4 for at least 6 months. Folsom Dodge had an ST for $26,995. I went down, and the sale was suddenly over. They would not budge for less then $30,000 before taxes for a stripped down ST. But I do have to admit, Folsom does have good prices. Swift Dodge has the Big Horn edition on sale every other week for $32,999. If I had to do it again, I would have got the Leather seats... ...

Thanks Tomeygun! Lots of hard work to get it up there. When I started here in '91 we were lucky to have 10 trucks and only did 40 deals a month... mostly lease returns. If you are talking about the ad for the deisel class with James W, I knew about that. James can make a deisel sit up, beg, and wag it's tail. He is amazing. By the way Tomey, were looking for a few more salesguys. Come on out and live in the mountains of Idaho. We've got our own Ski Resort across the street and the fishin' and hunting is great. Property prices still low as well.

PS: The following is a quote regarding the new exhaust brake. . Nice feature is the torque converter lock up

software encoded in the ECM so you don't need auxiliary box like

Pacbrake, BD, etc.

Ya does'nt that suck, and that truck was bought in AZ, not CA! Arizona is copying California.

PS: you dont want to know the amount of the Insurance I paid for a year in AZ, more than CA.
