I went to at least a dozen dealers, looking for a truck, and they all were different bottom lines. The best I could do was invoice and I keep the rebates. I went with a dealer about a mile from the house for $150 over invoice. When I told him I could do better he acted like I was trying to rob him. I have been reading that people on the board here do better (or lie ;) ).

So what was the best deal you could make? I'm really interested to see what the guys in my area did compared to other areas of the country, IS there a difference?

I stopped in and saw my salesman today and he told me they should have the truck July 2nd (just shy of 14 weeks).

$300 under invoice, it worked out to about $8K off including the $2500 rebate at the time, my truck is an ST however and is cheaper and does not have as much markup in it.

At invoice and I kept the rebates plus a 7 year / 100K $100 ded service contract for $1995.

If a dealer won't work from invoice, go somewhere else.

:) $33k out the door 04' SLT 4X4 Q-cab SRW 555/305 HO loaded fairly well. Then $2500 for the 7/100,000 DC ZERO deduct warranty. Window Sticker on the truck was over $40k.

Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo.

If your in the Shakopee Minnesota area you can swing into Shakopee Dodge and take $8,000 off the MSRP of any diesel Ram.

I got mine 04. 5 Quad Cad 3500 SLt short bed, srw for $33,500 including tax and tags. Sticker was 42,300. 00 Dealer said it was a special order that fell through and he couldn't move it, had been sitting there for 4 months, he called it an oddball. Not sure why, exactly what I wanted except for the color, but now I really like the Patriot Blue so it worked out well.

$1000. 00 below invoice plus rebates plus farm bureau. So that's roughly $9,000. 00 below MSRP. 44,700 MSRP 35,898. 00 plus tax.

You should be able to do better. Their inventory is quite large and the dealer stock is around 90 days. The ideal is around 60 days, so just try elsewhere. You should be able to negotiate for more money in you pocket.

Good luck and happy hunting.

Ok I got my truck for $30,600 out the door. 4. 5% taxes here in VA too. I paid 1% under factory invoice plus kept all rebates and the $500 Farm Buerau rebate. The dealer also threw in free oil changes for 100k miles. I was also negative $2000 on my Jeep Cherokee and he paid that off. I think I stole it :)

We get a discount (Verizon Employees) on DM Chrysler and GM vehicles. 1% under factory invoice.

sticker price 45900. and some change. 2500. 00 under invoice, not including the rebates which I kept. My job allows me to meet many people and over the years learned some of the car sales business, Try and by from stock at the end of month. By selling my truck cheap, the dealership also rec'd kickback for moving a certain amount of vehichles so the dealership, salesman an d I did just fine on this deal. S. lenz 2004. 5 3500 Quadcab 4x4 SLT Larado package Sport package 2003 2500 slt 4x4 totaled on 1 april 04
