I had some trouble with my truck. When the key was switched on the gages wouldn't come on, and it wouldn't start. The only thing that worked was the power windows. So I took it to the dealer and they said it was the power fuse. My question is where is it, and why the hell would they use a fuse that could render the truck in-operable? Why didn't they use a relay? This could've potentially cost me a $500 towing bill if I was out in the middle of nowhere.

Who cares where it is.......

The real question should be what blew the fuse. They usually don't just give up. Something might have shorted somewhere. That's what I would be investigating.
